I. Frangos & Associates LLC is a leading law firm established in 2000 situated in central Larnaca, providing a comprehensive range of legal services. The firm was founded by Mr. Iosif Frangos who was initially a sole practitioner, mainly engaged in litigation. His principled ambition, vision, and innovation combined with exceeding client expectations through legal excellence have resulted in the firm’s rapid expansion resulting in it now employing 36 individuals, 12 of whom are lawyers. Today, the firm is divided in 3 main departments: Legal and Litigation, Real Estate and Property Investment and Corporate and Tax Planning. Our firm is also affiliated with Bybloserve Management Ltd which provides specialised corporate management, trust, fiduciary and financial services to a respectable volume of high net worth corporations and individuals around the globe.

The legal and litigation department of our firm is mainly handling civil and corporate cases with particular attention in the fields of banking and finance law, private international law, commercial law, debt recovery, corporate law, cross-border litigation, contract law, insurance law, accident and personal injury, tort and negligence, intellectual property law, sports law, tax law, wills and estate administration, property law, family law and employment law.

Our team of lawyers has specialist knowledge of corporate and civil law with expertise in the fields of corporate litigation, civil and cross border litigation. Our recent court practice includes, amongst others, Mareva injunctions, Anton Piller/Norwhich Pharmacal proceedings, Freezing/“Chambra” injunctions, minority shareholder disputes, recognition and enforcement of foreign court and arbitration judgments and of foreign insolvency proceedings etc.

Over the years, we have created a large and diversified client base, comprising of individuals and corporations, ranging from local and international entities to financial institutions, public authorities and all the major Cypriot commercial banks. They represent a broad spectrum of sectors, including finance, banking, real estate, industry, trade, information technology, telecommunications and sports.

Maria Raphael is a Member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2007. After obtaining her licence, she worked at a law firm in Larnaca and in 2009 she was employed at I. Frangos & Associates LLC as Head of the Legal and Litigation Department. Since March 2016 she is also a partner at the firm, being involved in many complex civil and corporate litigation cases. She has handled cases in many fields of law and has gained great experience in litigating cases with corporate, cross border and foreign elements.

In 2014 she became an ADR Group Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator recognised by the Civil Mediation Council, Bar Council and the Law Society of England and Wales.
