Claudio Magliona has an extensive practice in corporate and financing, technology law, telecommunications, intellectual and industrial property and entertainment law, including corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and software development agreements, franchising, data protection, computer crimes and film distribution, production and financing. Mr. Magliona also handles government relations and policy matters.

From 1998-2002 and 2006 Mr. Magliona worked as an associate with Carey y Cia's Banking and Financial Group, where he headed transactions such as D&S Debt Restructure (CH$120.000.000.000) and the Foreign Credit Agreement from San Paolo Imi to Banco del Desarrollo (US$100.000.000) . From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Magliona worked as a foreign attorney with Greenberg Glusker's Intellectual Property and Technology Group (part of Neff Law Group Merger), Los Angeles, CA. During that time he also was legal advisor to the Latin America Committee of the Business Software Alliance (BSA), Washington, D.C. and BSA country manager in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Venezuela.

Mr. Magliona is a graduate of the Universidad de Chile (Licenciado en Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales con Distinción, 1997) and Stanford Law School (Master of Laws (LLM) in Law, Science & Technology, 2003). He was admitted to the Bar in 1997.

He is the author of the Getting the Deal Through Chile Chapters of Licensing 2015, E-commerce 2016, Data Protection 2015 and Copyright 2015. Clients: Local and multinational companies, such as: Mercadolibre.com, Aggreko, Google, Autodesk, Dafiti.com, Ticketbis.com, Credibanco Colombia, VTR, Strix, Orange (France Telecom), Johnson & Johnson, BBDO.

Mr. Magliona is a member of the Chilean Bar Association (2001), executive secretary and member of the board of the Computer Law Association of Chile (www.adi.cl) since 2000. Since that same year he is also member of the Alfa-Redi advisory committee in technology and law ( www.alfa-redi.org ). Member of the board of ONGMETA.org.
