Most recently, he has established the Immigration and Redomiciliation department which offers assistance to HNWIs in relation to tax planning and residence programmes available under Maltese law, including applications to the Maltese Individual Investor programme.

As a result of his professional international relations, a China Business Desk was set up to assist new Chinese large and medium investment projects in Malta. Dr. Tonna also assists ultra HNWIs and international groups in individualizing and realizing large infrastructural and real estate projects in Malta.

David Tonna is the honorary consul of Luxembourg as well as a member of numerous organizations/associations including the Malta Chamber of Advocates, the International Bar Association, the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA), AIPPI, the European Trade Mark Proprietors (MARQUES) as well as being a founding member of the Malta Maritime Law Association.
