Islam Channel legal chief joins Konami

Published: Tuesday, February 19, 2013

The sole in-house legal advisor at Islam Channel TV has left to join Japanese gaming company Konami.

Tinu Adeshile, general counsel at the Bonhill Street-based media organisation, will fulfil the same role at Konami.

She is working for Konami’s UK digital entertainment business venture, currently employing around 20 staff, but set to expand to around 150 people.

The role will have a particular focus on licensing law, especially IP and commercial rights on games and content.

She joined Islam Channel in September 2011 after qualifying with Calverts, having worked full-time to fund her part-time CPE and LPC studies.

Adeshile is also the vice-chair of the Plumstead Law Centre and is helping with fundraising to try to secure the organisation’s future.

At Konami, which produces market leading games titles such as Pro Evolution Soccer, Adeshile will be based in Windsor as its sole in-house legal advisor.
