Announcement - New member of The Lawyer Network in Bangladesh

We are delighted to announce that Fatima J Chowdhury of Stellar Chambers' has joined The Lawyer Network. Fatima has joined the network as our Human Rights & Labour Rights member in Bangladesh.

Ms. Fatima J Chowdhury is an Advocate of the Honorable Supreme Court of Bangladesh and a Barrister-at-Law from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, United Kingdom. She got her Diploma in Law and her LLB (Honours) degree from University of London. And followed by her Post Graduate Diploma from Northumbria University. 

Ms. Chowdhury specializes in the human rights law. She started her career in a renowned human rights NGO in Chittagong. Later she joined the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh as a researcher of crimes against humanity. She also for worked for an international law firm Fox Mandal, Bangladesh before joining U.S. Embassy, Dhaka as Labour Advisor.  After her time with U.S. Embassy she moved back to practicing human rights law. 

Ms. Chowdhury specializes in different aspect of Human Rights law with particular focus on international labour rights, women’ rights, constitutional matters. She is also advising multinational companies in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development goals. In addition to the human rights chapter of the firm, she looks over the legal aid division of Stellar Chambers to support the under-privileged people with necessary legal support. 

Apart from her legal practices, she also sits in the advisory board of different charitable organizations.
