Olasupo Shasore is Senior Advocate of Nigeria, partner at Ajumogobia & Okeke and heads the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration/ADR team. He served as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State, 2007-2011. His areas of specialisation include Arbitration, Commercial Litigation, Maritime and Shipping and Commercial and Business Crime.

He has over twenty years’ experience specialising in the resolution of various commercial and shipping disputes by arbitration and litigation advising a number of domestic and international clients in the energy, shipping, and construction industries. He served as Member/Secretary of the Presidential petroleum revenue special task force 2012, chaired a Committee on reform of the National Arbitration law and Chairman, Law Reform Commission - Lagos State.

Mr Shasore is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and is regularly appointed counsel, expert and arbitrator in domestic and international commercial arbitration. He chairs the Arbitration and ADR committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association and is current President of the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA). A former member of the National Steering Committee on National Infrastructure Master Plan, Shasore also chaired the Legal Regulatory Technical Working groups (2013).

Shasore led the amendment of LCA Rules 2013 to provide for “Special measures” emergency arbitrators; he is a member, London Court of International Arbitration, Africa User Group; member of panel of experts of Panel of Recognized International Market Experts (“PRIME”), supporting member, London Maritime Arbitrators Association and member, Advisory Committee; International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA); founding member of Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria.
