Irish firm appoints new head of London office

Published: Monday, January 14, 2013

Mason Hayes & Curran has appointed a new head for their London office.

After former head of Mason Hayes & Curran’s London office, John Kettle, left to join McCullough Robertson’s Brisbane office, the Irish firm appointed a new office head.

Project finance lawyer Micheál Grace has taken over from Kettle as head of the office after a handover period. Competition partner Kettle was appointed to head the London office in 2009, but has relocated to Australia.

Partner Niall Collins has been appointed as head of Mason Hayes’ competition team in Ireland, having joined the firm in 2011.

London has become a renewed focus for Irish firms in the past few years as international investment becomes an increasing source of revenue for lawyers in the country. Last year William Fry reopened its City office after nearly 15 years without one, appointing corporate partner Stephen Keogh as office head.
