Jefferies Solicitors’ personal injury network prepares to go live 2013

Published: Monday, December 10, 2012

A national marketing network for personal injury specialists will launch in January, with 12 firms agreeing to pay £10,000 a month to join its roster.

Jefferies Solicitors, which launched First Personal Injury as trading name in 2008, was the idea of Jefferies managing director Michael Jefferies.

Until now it has handled all claims in-house, but from January it will establish a roster of 12 personal injury firms, which will each pay a minimum of £10,000 a month, with claims handled by an independent call centre and then distributed to one of the member firms on a cab-rank basis.

Member firms can pay more than £10,000 a month, for which they will receive multiple spots on the roster. Jefferies estimates that each month a firm paying £10,000 will receive around 12-13 cases through the network.

Jefferies said he has raised £3m for the non-profit making organisation, which ploughs member firms’ fees back into advertising and developing the network, adding that they are not looking for any more members in the near future.

In a statement, Jefferies said:“First Personal Injury has a proven track record and we feel now is the right time to open the brand up to other firms. The response to date has exceeded our expectations. Twelve specialist personal injury firms have signed up so far and when we launch in January we’ll already be the second largest not for profit solicitors marketing consortium in the UK.”
