We are delighted to announce that Abadi Abi Tisnadisastra of 'Akset Law' has joined The Lawyer Network. Abi has joined the network as our exclusive Corporate member in Indonesia.

Abi’s practice covers a broad range of corporate areas, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, capital markets and foreign investment. In past years, he has been involved in numerous acquisitions and investments in companies from a broad range of industries including banking, financial services, information technology and mobile payments, healthcare, construction, and real estate. He has a particular focus on financial services and information technology.

Abi’s client relationships range from start-ups to multinational corporations, with work not only advising on complex and sophisticated corporate milestones but also deep involvement in operations and strategic business issues, such as structuring and formation, compliance, and a myriad of commercial agreements.

He is recognized for his in-depth knowledge of the insurance and multi-finance industries, having advised on many transactions for multinational financial institutions in consolidating operations in Indonesia. Given his IT background, he is frequently involved in Information Technology and Telecommunications deals, advising investors on operations and opportunities in Indonesia. He also has a growing specialty in corporate governance and legal compliance, advising foreign investors on operations, whether at the outset of their investment or in connection with the compliant functioning of their ongoing businesses.

Abi is co-author of the Indonesian chapter of Getting the Deal Through – Fintech, and Getting the Deal Through – Insurance & Reinsurance and has been recognized as a leading young corporate lawyer in Asia by several publications.

Education

Abi has a strong passion for teaching law and is regularly invited to give international and domestic workshops and classes. He is a member of the Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants (HKHPM). He is a graduate of Parahyangan Catholic University (Sarjana Hukum degree) and holds dual Masters Degrees in Law and Information Technology from Bond University, Queensland, Australia.
