Announcement - New member of The Lawyer Network in Turkey

Ersin Nazalı, who worked as tax inspector for nine years under Revenue Administration, is expert and has a considerable knowledge in several tax and corporate law areas especially tax-customs disputes, tax-customs litigation, transfer pricing, tax inspections and tax free re-structuring of companies. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences and also Dicle University, Faculty of Law. He has master degrees from Istanbul University in Financial Law (MSc) and also from King’s College London, School of Law in International Tax Law (LL.M.). He is currently working on his PhD Thesis on "Transfer Pricing Methods" in İstanbul University, Fiscal Law Department. After his graduation from university in 2001, he worked as tax assistant in Arthur Andersen and then as Deputy Inspector in Prime Ministry Board of Inspection. On April 14, 2004 he was assigned as Deputy Tax Inspector upon his success in the entrance exam. In May, 2007 he was assigned as Tax Inspector.

As of March 2009, he was assigned to Tax Council upon Minister’s approval and accordingly he played role in legislation of tax laws. He also played role in Consultancy Commission, one of the organs of Tax Inspectors Board, as member and reporter and held conferences especially regarding mergers, acquisitions and spin-off (de-mergers). Besides, he is one of the founders of “Tracking of Tax Disputes” Department within Tax Inspectors’ Board. In 2011 and 2012 he worked as Tax Inspector in Istanbul Tax Inspection Board, Presidency of Thin Capital, Transfer Pricing and Foreign Based Income Group.

As of August 2012, he works as tax consultant and attorney in private sector.

In addition to his professional career, in academic year 2008-2009, he served as part time lecturer in Aydın University and he attended as both debater and instructor in several conferences and seminars organized by various institutions and organizations.

He is registered to Istanbul Bar Association as lawyer and to Istanbul Chamber of Sworn in Financial Advisors as SFA. He is also member of Istanbul Bar Association Tax and Administration Law Center, TUSIAD (Turkish Industry &Business Association) Tax Law Study Group, Tax Inspectors Association and Foundation, Prime Ministry Inspectors Association.

There are more than eighty articles published in several tax journals. Ersin Nazalı has a very good command of English.
