Since 2016, Benfield Attorneys and Solicitors has been involved in the finance and purchase of vessels, registration and placement of foreign mortgages on Nigerian flagged vessels with the Nigerian Ship Registration Office (NSRO). It has also been involved in litigation involving the arrest and detention of vessels including the release of arrested and detained vessels at the Federal High Court in Nigeria.

In November 2007, Benedict Oregbemhe was called and enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Between November 2007 – September 2008, he did his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) with the Anambra State Ministry of Justice, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Between October 2008 – February 2009, he joined the law firm of Amaka Ezeno & Co, Vox Populi Chambers, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria as a Managing Solicitor

In February 2009, he joined the firm of Okhai Akhigbe & Co as an Associate.

In October 2010, he joined the firm of Alfred James Solicitors as an Associate

In August 2012, he joined the firm of SPA Ajibade & Co as an Associate and rose to become a Senior Associate

Benedict Oregbemhe graduated from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria in 2006 with a Second-Class (Upper Division).

He also graduated from the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja, Nigeria in 2007 with a Second-Class (Upper Division).

In 2015, Benedict Oregbemhe obtained his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) from the University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria.
